Today the cornerstone will be laid in the rebuilding of the wastewater treatment facility in the city of Paide that, in accordance with the contract concluded between Paide Vesi AS and Nordecon AS in April this year, means that in just 12 months’ time Paide’s wastewater problems will have been solved.
Pursuant to the contract concluded between Paide Vesi AS and Nordecon AS for rebuilding of the city’s wastewater treatment facility and sewage pumping stations, the work is to be completed by 30 July next year.
“Everything is currently right on schedule, the large-volume concreting work has been finished along with the laying of the bottom plate for the process reservoirs. We are now reinforcing the reservoir walls and have commenced construction of the technological building: its foundation is ready and we are assembling the frame,” said Erkki Suurorg, Member of the Management Board of Nordecon AS. “So we can safely say that in 12 months’ time we will have a good reason to get together again right here – for the unveiling of the new wastewater treatment facility”.
The construction contract concluded between Paide Vesi AS and Nordecon AS on 11 April (Public Procurement ÜF 138448-1: Rebuilding of the wastewater treatment facility and sewage pumping stations in the city of Paide, Part I) covers the following rebuilding work: the technical building of the wastewater treatment facility, the purification process reservoirs, the site for washing of the tank lorries, the garage, the substation, the pond used for balancing of the volume of rainwater flow, the external pipelines, the water supply street pipelines, the sewage drainage, the pressurised sewerage pipelines, the rainwater drainage, the drains, the compact sewage pumping stations, the above-ground fire hydrants, the sewage pumping stations in buildings and the access roads.
