Nordecon AS and Pirita Apartments OÜ have concluded a contract of services for construction of an apartment building in Tallinn at Pirita Road 26. The approximate construction contract cost is € 10 million plus VAT.
“We are pleased to announce this new construction contract. It should be noted that in the apartment building construction sector private customers have not been very active in recent years, which is why builders are overjoyed to get orders,” said Erkki Suurorg, Member of the Management Board of Nordecon AS. “This building will most likely shape its location and the apartments will be in high demand due to the architectural solution and the excellent view of the sea.”
The 9-storey apartment building to be constructed at Pirita Road 26 will also have two underground car park levels. The building will have one staircase and an internal corridor for access to all apartments. All apartments in the building will have a view towards the sea. There will be up to 10 apartments on each storey, predominantly large and luxurious. On the first storey there will also be the lobby and auxiliary rooms.
On three sides the building will have an architecturally uninterrupted wave of balconies dominating the appearance of the building. Due to the very sensitive location of this planned building in the immediate vicinity of the Flower Pavilion that is subject to heritage conservation and with plentiful greenery of high dendrological value, the architects strove to design the building as light and airy as possible. The greenery next to the building going in the direction of the sea will be preserved and a children’s playground and benches will be added there.
The building will have 73 apartments totalling about 6,700 square metres. The total indoor net area of the building is approximately 10,810 square metres. The underground car park will have 101 spaces.
Construction of the building will commence this June and is to be completed in November 2014.
