"Residential construction is an active sector in Estonia at the moment, especially in Tallinn and Tartu, as many living spaces are being built and completed at the same time. The number of Nordecon’s residential development projects isn’t considerably large, because first and foremost we want to ensure the quality of our work and offer people buying a home more than just a living space. Our aim is for people to attain a home that is in a beautiful and calm neighbourhood that at the same time has all the necessary services close by," said Toomas Rell, residential development department manager at Nordecon AS. "As our own development project, Nordecon is now about to complete two buildings in Tallinn on Hane Street, with 30 apartments altogether, where the first families are just about to move in. We will also carry on with the construction of the Uus-Tammelinna apartment buildings in the Tammelinn district in Tartu."
"The Hane Street apartment buildings are in a fortunate location – close to the city centre and all that is important, e.g. public transport, shops, and educational establishments, but they are also in a very calm neighbourhood with an additional advantage of tall landscaping," said Aare Ruubel, residential development project manager at Nordecon AS. "All apartments have big terraces and balconies, the yard is illuminated and landscaped, and a playground for children. Both buildings have an underground parking garage which will surely be a great benefit to all car owners during winter, and there is an elevator that will take you directly from the parking floor to the residential floors."
The buildings were designed by architects Irina Raud and Erkki Tammeleht from the architecture bureau R-Konsult. Both new apartment buildings have three residential storeys characterized by contemporary design, and there are altogether 30 two-, three- and four-room apartments. All apartments have a balcony or a terrace; the yard has cosy landscaping and playgrounds. The parking spaces, storerooms and technical facilities are located on the ground floor of the buildings.
Additionally, during the construction works the unrepaired section of Hane Street was reconstructed, a new sidewalk was made, and street lighting was installed.
