The Estonian Road Authority revealed last week that three tenders met the terms and conditions of the public procurement for the design and construction of the section of road between Aruvalla and Kose, with the successful bid being the joint offer of Nordecon AS and Ramboll Eesti AS.
“The Estonian Road Authority certified all three tenders received as meeting the conditions of the procurement for the Aruvalla-Kose project,” explained Erkki Suurorg, a member of the management board of Nordecon AS. “Since none of the three questioned the finding, the ERA then went on to announce that the joint offer we made with Ramboll was the successful bid, offering the lowest price. The value of the contract is 39.3 million euros, plus VAT. We’re glad the procurement process has been settled and is being wrapped up without unnecessary delays or hassles.”
Describing the extensive work to be carried out on the section of highway between Tallinn and Tartu, Suurorg said: “We need to get started as soon as we can, really. That said, there are still a few nuances of the public procurement process that we need to take into consideration which affect it coming to a successful conclusion and entering into a contract. The other bidders have seven days to contest the ERA’s choice, if they feel they have reason to.”
