On the order of Invego Group, Nordecon AS is building two apartment buildings with office spaces to the Kalamaja housing estate near the Old Town in Tallinn for 5.4 million euros. The development called Novamaja at addresses 4a Kopli Street and 6 Kopli Street will be completed in March next year.
“The development of the Kalamaja area has been very rapid and versatile during the previous years, but until now, there have been no such new developments like Novamaja, which complies with modern trends and has an Old Town and sea view, and spacious terraces and balconies,” listed Kristjan-Thor Vähi, the chief of Invego, the strengths of the new Novamaja, and stressed that the rise in the popularity of the Kalamaja area has also increased the expectations of people moving there on their new homes. “The sale of the apartments in the second Novamaja building starts today, over two thirds of the homes in the first building have already found their owners,” Vähi added.
“Building in the area of Kalamaja settlement has been out of reach for Nordecon so far. With the conclusion of this contract, this gap was filled as well,” said Avo Ambur, the board member of Nordecon AS. “We are hoping to be a professional, open and trustworthy partner to the contracting entity.”
The gross area of Novamaja is ca 3,600 m2 and the number of apartments is 42. The buildings have elevators and the size of the apartments range from 32 m2 to 130 m2. Most of the apartments have a balcony or terrace, and a spectacular view to the Toompea castle or the sea. The architect of the buildings is Martin Aunin.
