Nordecon completed the construction of the water and sewage treatment plant In Pärnu-Jaagupi on time. Overall, the new treatment systems guarantee that drinking water meets every requirement and the sewage discharged into the environment conforms to all standards set for its cleanliness.
”The new water treatment plant makes it possible that from now on all residents of Pärnu-Jaagupi can consume drinking water that meets all standards instead of fluoride-rich water”, said Erkki Suurorg, member of the Management Board of AS Nordecon. ”The sewage treatment plant, which operates on activated sludge technology, is first and foremost meant for Pärnu-Jaagupi. In addition to the sewage treatment plant, the company also built a composting ground for sewage sludge and a discharge station. The existence of a modern and future-oriented water supply and treatment system is an indicator that demonstrates the capacity of the local government in ensuring local residents with the necessary quality of life and in placing on the surrounding environment an acceptable burden at present and in the future."
