Nordecon AS and State Resources Centre Ltd (RRK logistics parks), which is one of the largest developers of the logistics parks in Estonia, concluded a contract to build a new storage and production building at the Liiva Centre on Kalmistu Road in Tallinn. The cost of the construction works is about 8 million Euros excluding VAT.
“Liiva Centre, which is a logistics park with good access and the nearest to Tallinn city centre, has been known as a place with a long history, and that should be sufficiently attractive also to the future tenants of the new warehouse,” said Avo Ambur, the board member of Nordecon AS. “In addition to its good location, energy efficiency and a planning based on the storage logistics support the building’s usability.”
According to Avo Ambur, the closed gross area of the unique two-storied building to be constructed on Kalmistu Road 26e is about 20 000 square metres. The main functions of the building are both storage and production. The building is divided into the interconnected sections of different sizes that enables the tenants to use the spaces according to their needs between 900-19 000 m2.
The heights of the storage and production spaces are 4.6 metres and 9 metres, depending on a storey. Additionally, there is about 900 m2 of bureau and non-work spaces on a separate storey that can also be used by blocks of different sizes. Modularity and flexibility are the key words characterising this building.
The construction works of the building will begin in October 2015 and end in August 2016.
