Nordecon has completed the construction of a new special-purpose production building for FLIR Systems Estonia OÜ, manufacturer of infrared cameras. The inauguration of the building will be held tomorrow.
„Since the company manufactures such high-tech products as infrared cameras, there were special strict requirements for production facilities,“ said Reedik Raudla, head of engineering construction in Nordecon AS. „The building’s whole production area has all-floor heating and ventilation, as well as cooling and air humidification. Production premises have anti-static earthed epoxy flooring and are also equipped with technical compressed air system for the production lines.”
Reedik Raudla said that the construction had to meet not only Estonian building requirements, but also special building requirements of FLIR Systems. For instance, the whole building has a NFPA-compliant sprinkler system.
„On behalf of FLIR Systems Estonia, we thank Nordercon AS for good cooperation, especially for flexibility in meeting our special requirements,“ said Tiit Tallo, Member of the Management Board of FLIR Systems Estonia OÜ.
The net floor surface of the production building of FLIR Systems Estonia is approximately 4,300 square metre. The construction started this January and was completed in October.
FLIR Systems, listed on the NASDAQ Exchange in New York, is a world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of thermal imaging and threat detection equipment for surveillance, monitoring and research purposes and for both civilian and military use.
