Today the Stroomi Shopping Centre opened its doors in the locality of Pelguranna in Tallinn. This is the third retail trade centre where Nordecon has completed the construction works this year. A new Konsum store was opened in Muraste in November and the Astri Center, the largest shopping centre in Narva was completed in summer.
“This year Nordecon has more contracts for the construction of retail trade centres than previously, and we are delighted. All of these customers represent the private sector which compared with the public sector has been a more modest constructor, “ said Jaano Vink, the Chairman of Nordecon. “In addition to the centres already completed this year, Maxima store in Keila and Viimsi Centre are waiting for their turn; their completion time will be next year.”
The net area of the Stroomi Shopping Centre with the underground car park level is about 15 000 square metres. The key leaseholder on the first floor will be the Maxima retail chain with its XX store; additionally, various catering establishments and children’s playground with modern equipment will be opened in this newly-built centre. The cost of the construction contract of the Stroomi Shopping Centre, which is built above the historic marketplace at the intersection of the Tuulemaa and Madala streets, was close to 9 million euros excluding VAT.
