“There will be road surface reconstruction works performed in the Rakvere–Rannapungerja Sae–Anguse–Palasi section in Lääne-Viru County in order to improve the load-bearing capacity of the road and to improve its general condition. The Nõva Bridge will also be reconstructed,” explained Anti Palmi, Head of the East Road Maintenance Department of the Road Administration.

A 11.8 basic road section in Lääne-Viru County and the bridge over Kunda River in Nõva will be reconstructed within the framework of the contract. “We will build an asphalted road of the width of 7.5 metres on a bitumen-stabilised foundation and repair the rain water systems,” said Ando Voogma, Board Member of Nordecon AS. “Construction of the bridge will begin with demolishing works, in the course of which we will demolish the parts of the Nõva Bridge built in 1936 and 1978 and replace them with a reinforced concrete arch bridge. We are planning to commence the works as soon as possible and the contractual works will be completed within a year.”
